    The Singapore mah jong tile set is made up of 148 tiles. These 148 tiles are broken into suits that contain 136 total playable tiles, 8 flower tiles, and 4 animal tiles.

    Peng Wu — all chows

    Specific to Singapore style

    • a winning hand is made up of one pair of eye and four chows
    • the eye pair can not be seat wind, prevailing wind, or dragon tiles.
    • going out on a discard tile requires calling on 2 or more unique tiles.

    Points: 1 fan with non-seat flower
    Points: 4 fan without flower


    Doi Doi Wu — all pongs

    All pongs any suit.

    Points: 2 fan


    Semi-pure — half color

    Single suit with any wind/dragon tiles.

    • add 1 fan for each animal tile
    • add 1 fan if flower(s) matches seat
    • add 1 fan for each of the 3 dragons
    • add 1 fan each for seat and prevailing wind
    • add 1 fan for all 4 red or blue flowers (5 fan total)
    • add 1 fan for complete set of the animal suit (5 fan total)
    • add 1 fan for complete set of the red flower suit (2 fan total)
    • add 1 fan for complete set of the black flower suit (2 fan total)
    • add 1 fan for a flower tile replacement, a kong tile replacement, or drawing from the last tile from the wall that causes a winning hand.
